Maybe a tighter crop would have worked better for me. The table edge is a bit distracting and the amount of "pairs" seem forced. I like the idea - you are an original.

ok but you should have cropped the photo and shot at a different angle to lose the other items in the shot. I am not sure I understand the wash cloth either.
