This one was a fun one to do. I had to find a hill high enough that I could photograph my subject with just the sky in the backround. I found the hill on a construction site of new homes. I was a little concerned that someone might see me preparing the scene and think I was digging a grave and call the police! I bought the boots at a flea market and constructed the head marker with some broken tree limbs.
My camera has some dust on the sensor which I can't get off and will have to send in to Canon to be cleaned. It showed up in the original picture and I had to play around with adjusting the contrast, saturation, hues and sharpness as well as a double run through Neat Image to hide them all within the rules of the Basic Challenge guidelines. I don't really like the way the final image colors turned out. They look artificial but I think it still looks better than in B & W. Wish I could have cloned out those dust spots.

the sky in this photo is so huge that i think it sould have been cropped. the boots arent even that noticeable. good idea but cropping and somehow maybe more uplcose would have been better.
That´s funny...
The idea is great but there are small details bothering me littel bit.
His legs should be either more visible or totally out of the photo. the green at the bottom is adding extra to the photo that is nice but the long strawes are not nessesery.
I would have tried to take this photo whitout rotaiting the camera and get closer to the subject. Then i would try to put more contrast on it and turn it into B&W to get this western mood. But these are just my personal thoughts!!!
Good luck...7
