Thanks all for your votes and comments, the final score as expected was appropriate for this shot, it's amazing how much one could learn by submitting to these contests and comparing to the winning shots.

The composition and focus could move down and pick the shoes out better, maybe a shortter DOF. They're taking a back seat here, especially considering the striking pose of the little girl.

Cute. Nice color. It's a tad dark on the model's left side, but it looks artistic. Model is a little stiff. Have her loosen a little.

I think you should have focused more on the shoes. I like the whole beach scene though!

Interesting picture with an equally interesting idea. The colors are nice, and I like the lighting. But the title and the picture (to me) seems like it's not really focused on the shoes. But nice job.
