Very nice Nerodia watersnake. These are my favorite snakes down here in Florida. I shoot a lot of Nerodia shots... and they are often, unfortunately, mistaken for the venomous cottonmouths. People kill these guys all the time because they are mistaken. It's a shame, really.

Schweet shot! Snakes are pretty neat up close. The toungue is out and everything! Awesome

Creepy looking guy, I like the murky look to the water and the way his tongue just touches the top of the water. 9.

Nice. Maybe a tad more contrast would have improved it.

Nice shot. It's a stretch for the challenge so I'm gonna knock you one point, but that's still a 9. (The title is D&L, for sure, but it only relates to the picture in the most superficial way. We may as well have had a free study.)

Great pic, feel the title to be weak for this challenge.

this is a nice shot - though you really should clone out the imperfections in the water - they're really distracting. 7

she is just beautiful. As a snake owner, i know that wasnt an easy capture to get her tongue like that. I hope the anti-snakers don't hurt you too bad.

great shot. not everyday you see a snake in the water like this.

Very cool, I really like the composition, sharpness and colors.

cool picture, but there's no way I'd guess what the D&L are without the title, and I think that meeting this challenge requires a visual cue

I would have cloned out the spots in the water, but other than that it is a "wickedly" nice photo. 8
