Well this image is just a chocoholics dream. I love it as an intereptation of dark and light.
The focus and lighting look good on the milk chocchips, but neither is quite at its peak on the white chocolate. It seems although the lense may have nee vignetting the edges?
For a still life of as small an object as chocchips,., i would have been incled to use a fine grained iso. Detailas are translated more smoothly in this manner, making macros more appealing.
I am distracted by the marks of milk choc left on the bar of dark choc in the front - being advanced editting, i would have bene inclied to clone them out.
Personally i am not sure such large blocks of dark work in the front of the image, with the much smaller white chips hidden behind it. The dar chocolate you have in the back that is divided into squares would have made a more balanced compositionimho.
I do like that you piled the chocolate in layers rather than a ridgid row or stack. This added element of fun makes the image more interesting.
So... did you eat it all after got got done shooting? I would have!
Any Qs or comments, feel free to PM me
Cheers

i think the kisses alone would have worked very well. perhaps upping the contrast would have strengthed the shot and the play between dark and light. right now there's this gray haze that kind of detracts from the pleasantness of the chocolate
now that's a dark and light picture I like. I think it might be the lighting but for some reason the chocolate doesn't look as yummy as it could, it appears very flat and dull.
Good idea, but your lighting needs a little work as the shot looks a little flat and washed out on my screen. Try a better duffuser or bounce lighting if you do not have a light box.
