I wonder what the voting histogram would look like for users who joined DPC before DrJones famous shot vs. users who joined after. Again, a great parody.
Interesting high key approach to the challenge. Your lighting actually works pretty well in this shot and your pose makes brings the best out of your model. Nice work.

DrJOnes comes out from behind the camera?
I'm scared & impressed at the same time. The pose is good. I like the harsh light from behind. I have to stop looking at this now.
Have I seen this image before? I really think I should score this low for revenge. My ass still hurts from it hitting the floor when I waw this. AWESOME sense of humor, not to mention good photography. I just wish I had thought of this! Definatley one of my favorites.
Nice high-key shot. I really like this, the hard hat is that "little something extra" that I look for in challenges. Just a little something unexpected to give the shot some added spark.
The lighting appears too harsh from the right... but I must agree that while it does not come close to the ,
it still ranks in top 20 for the challenge. 7.
I have to admit, I like this shot, but am at a loss for words when trying to tell you why I do... I can imagine all the possible technical criticisms, but they seem irrelevant.... I just like it. Good Luck
Great image, I think that the only flaw I can see in this image is the light. The shadows bother me slightly, possibly a fill light specifically for the shadows?
Ah yes, drjones. a good take on that photo, though there are some problems. The background is almost completely blownout, causing a halo around the model. The pose also doesnt really work for a male. Good attempt though!
This image fooled me I thought for sure he is at it again with one of his nudes but then I was like wow different. Great attempt I have to give you an 8
Excellent joke about DrJones's recent entry. On a serious note, while the whites are very good, the blacks could've used more contrast and toning. (Burning tool would help here). Composition is a bit off as all sides are of different lenght in relation to the model. I also find the lighting to be a little too bright. Would've wished for more details on the face/helmet as well. 7
A really brave and charming shot. The concept-title is wonderfully whimsical. My only problem perhaps is the bright lighting. Otherwise, I admire it very much. 8
this photo made me laugh out loud!!! that does not happen very often. Great, Great, Great. I am hoping you place well. It is good to have some fun with the challenges, though most people don't do a good job of being truely humerous. Great job!
Thanks for putting a smile on my face! Next time put a flower on the hard hat :D Only thing technically is the cropping is a bit tight. Nice use of highlights.
I like the white bg. There doesn't seem to be a complete use of the tonal range, but I could be picking a nit there. It does seems a little more contrast would boost things up a notch. Overall a very nicely composed, cropped, and posed image, I'm sure if I were a woman this photo would really do it for me :) Good job and good luck!
OK, this is hilarious. People who haven't been around or haven't gone back wouldn't get it, but I appreciate the humor. A little overexposed rather than high key. 7.
youre naughty :p
I love it hehehe. bumping it up ( i didnt get the referance the first time because im slow like that). Hope you dont get pulled down for those "nudes cant be funny" and "nudes have to be sexy" voters. Not hat a man in uniform isnt sexy OMG!
At first I wasn't going to comment on this photo for whatever insane reason but after perusing some of the other entries I decided to comment. I applaud the photographer and model for having the courage to showcase a non-traditional male form. The majority of society is not thin and muscular. We have padding and softness and are real rather than fantasy. I give this picture a 10 for it's sheer statement!
would have been a lot better with the model looking a bit more towards the camera, if the left hand was turned a bit so that the fingers pointed straight down, and light grey border :)
Great play on the previous photos. I think that dimming the light from the right and maybe adding a little light from the left could really smooth out and improve this shot.
I'm so pleased to see another guy not ashamed of his nudity. Love the hard hat. Just wish there were a tad more contrast and not such a tight crop across the top. Good pose. Great composition.
