He has a good shape for man of any age. All the problems with this picture are through the inexperience of the photographer. Just between the two of you, try some more. Work on the lighting to get it a little more dramatic and some different poses. If it's not to show to all the world like this challenge was, I think you two could have some fun while you experiment.
This was probably my last attempt at doing a nude..haha..nobody seems to like hairy butts except me..again, I have never done nudes and didn't have a clue where to start, but many thanks to Ed, my husband, for letting me coerce him into doing this for me..his butt doesn't look bad for an old guy does it?
I'm not interested in looking at male torsos as such; this would be a stronger image if the composition itself were a bit more interesting. Even tilting the camera 10 degrees when taking this photo may have added an interesting dynamic. Your model should remove his underwear at least 10 minutes prior to the shoot to allow the impressions that they leave on the skin time to disappear.
Yipee! Hairy Butt! I think the focus is off, but maybe I should be happy that it is. LOL

a few technical suggestions. a fill light to the front left of the model might have brought out the form better. curving the back might also have added some interest.
I think this is a good image. I think that the background is a bit too visible, making it a distraction, perhaps a slightly different crop would have done better for you. Good luck.
Not sure what to say - male nudes are just not my cup of tea, but this looks like a good effort and we'll have to see what the ladies say. The lighting looks good.
I like the tonal range here, but the crop is a little awkward. Perhaps a crop closer to the buttocks or one that includes the shoulders would be less awkward (and therefore more visually appealing).
I like the lighting in this shot. Normally I like a little more contrast between light and shadow, but I think the dominant greys give the shot a very interesting feel. Good composition as well.
