Post Challenge:
Thanks for all the wonderfully kind comments which are specially appreciated by my model. We both hugely enjoyed taking part in this challenge and, as many recognised, had lots of fun. We are both disappointed at the large number of 1's, 2's and 3's from voters and all without comment.
Levels, Hue/saturation, dodge, burn,clone, crop,USM.
My challenge record is undistinguished and I shall be surprised if this entry improves it. But I hope some will like the personality which I have tried to portray.

I did think this would do better, I had it at a 9 & then had to drop it to an 8 because I notice the distracting clone job on the left. The image was an excellent one tho- especially good lighting!
i loved this one and i was one of the 10 voters... i still love it and and i wish we seen more gorgeous models like this one.. thanks for keeping it real....
Deserved so much more, Ramon. Alas, too many conventional thinkers (actually, too many who don't appear to think at all). Nevertheless, you did improve your challenge record a bit, which was probably of little consequence to you. And you taught a few a lovely new word. But more to the point, you surely achieved your goal vis-a-vis personality, as the many appreciative comments below attest. Thanks to both of you. Bravo!
i love this shot, it is so beautiful, and i hope i am that lovely to look at and brave as a lion and aged so gracefully. I would replace this with many in the top 20 in a heart beat.
Might want to play with the brightness, contrast and saturation a bit... Maybe even B&W or selective Desat. Got a bright spot on the left of the photo... looks like motion blur. Nice position and ex[ression, but for the title, I would have liked a warmer tone to imply the sun.
Love the expression on the models face. Special thanks for presenting something besides the waif look. Extra points for bravery. Keep up the good work.
This was as close to the word I got in my dictionary:heliophila: Any of various South African herbs and subshrubs cultivated for long showy racemes of bright blue flowers with white eyes. But then I googled and it said :vegetable species which likes the exposure to the sun. So this lady is a spicy hot pepper(would have said tomato but that is a fruit) that likes to sun?
to the model: I applaud your courage to do this as an older woman! To the photographer: good composition, color and I like the use of the hat..well done
Ahhh, a fellow heliophile. I like the smile, lighting and crop. The variations in the background are somewhat distracting to me. Overall a nicely done photo!
Ya know, I've come back to this photo a few times and it makes me smile every time. It also makes me want to watch the movie Calendar Girls. Bravo to the model!
I'm bumping on second view. It's hard to light pale skin well and that's the prime limitation here. The hat as an anonymizer sits better with me the second time i see it.
I feel this picture is more of a 'shot for adult friend finder' then anything else. Sort of a funny snapshot amongts friends or within a couple in vacation. 5
This is one of my favourites as the model just seems to be having fun!
Exposure seems spot on, background is well seperated. Pose & cropping are great.
What a charming, unabashed photo. I love the spirit and playfulness. The composition is great, I would have played a bit with the skin tones. Super submission.
I love the expression on the model's face, it looks quite comfortable. I think the hat hiding the eyes brings an interesting anonymity and mystery. The composition looks ok with the model perfectly centered, but leaves a slightly static feel.
This one makes me smile. Whoever she is, she looks very happy and confident in her own skin (to misuse a phrase). This feels like it was a fun photo shoot, and I like that you've shown that even non-traditional models can be very beautiful. Only thing that detracts for me is that I would like to have seen more of her face. 9.
you know, what makes this shot is her smile. You were lucky to have a willing older model that enjoyed posing nude. There are some cloning issues at her left elbow that could be cleaned up to improve the shot. I think the composition and crop work well. The lighting is a little flat but does provide depth. 7 - good luck in the challenge!
YOU GO GIRL!!!! This is great. Love the hat and your creativity. The skin tones look great against the black background. I gotta hand it to you. Great job!!!!! (Keep smilin')
This is a great fun loving photo, if this is a self-portrait I would like to say I envy you for having the courage to do this and if not I say great job on a well taken photo. I really like the smile. Looks like she is having fun.
