Really nice. Offers the viewer the feel of really tall, nicely done. I got no idea how to improve this shot, or even if it needs improvement. Do you know what kind of pine this is? I have a similar shot somewhere of a Monterey Pine we planted after Christmas when I was about 10 -- it's thick branches start much lower than these...
I like the tones of this. Are getting any comments about the tree being too dark? It looks great to me. Bery good texture on the bark. This would make a nice print.
Great use of light. Did you use a star filter? Very good contrast IMO. The tree kind of cuts the shot right up the middle, but I am not sure you had a lot of choice about that to maintain context. I gave this one an 8.
