this is a great musical shot to me...any open-minded creative person knows that music is everywhere. it's not just sound, this is visual music. i think it's a great photo and it met the challenge above and beyond many of the other submissions. i gave it a 10.

this is a nice shot, some things you can learn from and others you can simply enjoy.

Ok, let me tell you something:
Under any other normal conditions, I would probably vote a 6 on this image, and go on voting.
It's a really nice photo, just not the "wow" kind.
The hot area on the right is too distracting, something in the background gives a busy feeling to this, and I can not concentrate on the water properly.
Above average photo, but not much more then that.
However, under this specific challenge, I think you have chosen a beautiful shot.
It is out of the box, it is creative and thoughtful.
Personally, I appreciate those qualities in a photo a lot more then perfect technicalities.

For that - I vote a 10 on this one.

I am assuming these are synchronized to music. Captured as bars of a graphic equalizer would be nice, wouldn't it?
I may even be missing the whole point. :)
While I think this is an absolutely beautiful picture (and I especially love the way the water droplets were captured in mid air), I'm not sure it's what they were looking for with the "live music" theme.

beautiful image, absolutely. lovely composition, and i don't mind the blowouts that much. however, i can't imagine this scoring well, given how out-of-the-box it is. if you aren't happy with your score you might want to check out this thread.
