Very nice optical illusion of the natural sort. Is this a pet or did ya go hunging?

I'm sorry, but I fail to see the illusion here.

wow. im glad i have never stepped on one of those, ha lol good shot, i would have liked to see it all in focus, all those little rocks would have made it more of an illusion,

I like the effect of the crab's camouflage against the shingle, but feel that it could all be a little sharper.

Is the illusion the crab's camouflage? Nice shot and capture though :)

This is fantastic! I saw crabs just like this in Hawaii two weeks ago, but my camera was too slow and too suck at macro to catch them properly. Yours is wonderful, and I really think this fits the challenge. Fantastic capture, great work!

focus on the soft side takes away alittle from this image with an interesting subject camouflaged in its environment

great shot of camouflaged crab...he gives the illusion of being a lump of sand to his victims.

what is the illusion.......OH THERE IT IS! 8

First Impression: Nice clear shot. Possably a bit too much sand on the left and top not really contributing.

Tough to see the little bugger! Great eye to capture this one.

Wow, now that is cool! Great illusion, a natural one! Great lighting, great color, great texture!

More of a camuflage than an illusion but a good one..

I suppose you would call this a natural illusion...how the crab adapts to its environment to blend in and protect itself from predators. Technically, the picture is well done. Perhaps the crab could be in better focus though.

they have a way of sneaking off too camouflage is a clever little illusion in it self.
