Before anyone gets any ideas whenever they see Homer, there are potentially 11 photographers who have fairly easy access to Homer. Lete me know if you want to borrow him for a shot!
I almost dismissed this shot as a representation of three kinds of rope, which would have made for a somewhat more 'pedestrian' choice. Glad I clicked to view the real enlargement!
Good, simple composition, captures the essentials to make the shot work.
This has got to be one of my favorites! I like the use of the snake for surprise and humor. The photo appeals, too, good focus and composition and the colors are brilliant. Great detail, did the snake sign a release??
I love this picture because it takes you by surprise. The layout is very formal and the bend in the snake's neck is the perfect counterpoint to the hose and rope, making it clear just who's alive and who's not. I think you'll do very well in this challenge!
yikes it's hat snake again - much as I hate him this is a spectacular set up and almost a perfect picture. Something about the uneven background makes me give it a nine.
Unless I am mistaken this is the same snake that I went back to coment on a few weeks ago. Definately a beautiful snake and a very nice approach to the challenge. I can't believe I am sitting here again saying how nice the snake looks when I have such a fear of them and yet this snake is simply stunning and worth commenting on repeatedly. Worth an 8.5 but since that isn't an option hows a 9? =o)
This is MAGIC ! Absolutely NOTHING like anything else I've seen. I find the textures really absorbing - especially the beautiful purple hue of the rope on the right.....er although I s'pose it might be healthier to keep and eye on the fire serpent.
