Wow, GREAT framing, just wish the american flag on the btotom left wasn't there. At a different time of day, the shadow would be directly upwards which would've helped your symmetry.
This is a neat photo... I have never seen a sun dial this big :) I'm wondering if a slightly different angle on this shot would have accented the dial a little more but it seems that you wanted to get the flags in the shot as well... good work!
The sundial is cool, but it's dwarfed by the flagpoles in the bg. Better, I think, to get in closer and shoot for the smooth texture and reflections in the metal with some of the trees and sky for a background.
Hmm... not being American I don't know what/where this memorial is, or what it signifies. I like the clouds in the sky, and the sundial, but that little flag peeking up at the bottom of the photo is a bit odd. I think the photo could have been framed in a stronger way.
