i've never done ir so i assume this required a long shutter. perhaps it was taken at night though for me it's tough to tell by just looking at the pic as the shadows seem extremely prominent. composition wise i would have liked to see more done with it, expecially the amount of sky vs ground as it currently seems unbalanced.
I think you may get hammered by ppl that don't know what kind of shot this is. I like it and think it reminds me of winter a little bit. Well done ad good luck in this challenge. <8>
