I just came across this site this morning and went outside and took some pictures to submit for the challenge with my new camera. And here is a trusty old rake.

I like the photo...I mean heck...how interesting can a rake really be? The BW conversion is good.
On a side note, I agree...if you have a problem with someone, keep it to the forums or better yet to a PM...don't leave that stuff on someone's pictures, that's disrespectful.
If this had a black background it probably would have been a winner. (Or perhaps a stuffed squirel in the picture)
I thought revenge and or spiteful comments were not allowed. Why are people allowed to do such mean things? If people have a problem with the thread this photographer started, their comments should be contained within that thread, not on his picture.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS IMAGE! (OOPS, SORRY MY KEYBOARD IS STUCK ON CAPS). THIS IS ARGUABLY THE BEST PHOTO ON THIS SITE, POSSIBLY IN THE WHOLE WORLD!
DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE TO START...THE CONTRAST, THE DOF, THE CREATIVITY. NICE TOUCH WITH THE LITTLE STICK ON A DIAGONAL. AND B&W...GENIUS.
THE STICKER MAKES IT FOR ME. A 10 IN MY BOOK, AND ONLY BECAUSE THAT'S AS HIGH AS THE RATINGS GO HERE. OTHERWISE I'D GIVE IT A 1000!

I thought revenge and or spiteful comments were not allowed. I will not post in the threads that have been propogated because of this photographer, but I don't see why people should be allowed to comment "after the fact" of the original thread.
This is a stunning photo. The vivid colors scream for attention. I love that brooding sky. The placement of your model and the expression are truly captivating. The reflections in the water are a very nice touch and I really like the sense of motion here. Truly emotive, a wonderful touching story. This image stirs to life the passion in my soul.

See what happens when you rant. I really like it when new members get all upset after doing poorly in a challenge, and then they rant about the site and community. I hope you'll participate in future challenges. I think you'll learn that your idea of the DP community was way off. Good luck. Oh, and I would have given this shot a 10. Not.
The bar code is inaccurate. When I scan it it comes up "Stuffed Squirrel" have to subtract a point for that. Also, it looks like there is a big juicy turd under the rake - that makes up for the barcode.
