Underneath the Santa Monica Pier. I don't expect this to necessarily do very well, but hope it won't get punished for the silhouetted wood, slight messiness in the waves at the bottom-left corner, or blown out highlights.

An excellent use of natural light. The softness of the light works well with the soft focus applied here. It was a little hard to pick up on the water at first though.

The golden sunlight is very nice, and so are the pillars and waves. This is a photo that grows on you, hope ppl take the time to appreciate it. Good luck

I almost used a pier for my entry.... After I saw this I'm glad I didn't What I had in mind wouldn't even come close to capturing the beauty of this image. I'm only afraid voters from non-coastal areas will have a difficult time make the wooden correlation. -10
