A sweetcorn stem, in the garden, with late sun shining across it. In 2 minds about the B&W as original green tones were lovely, but thought it brought out the silvery-ness of the hairs so went for it. Ideally would've removed the odd hairs at the right edge.
Finding a title took longer... via a thesaurus I found 'pilose', from the latin for hair, meaning "covered in fine soft hair", which seemed to sum it up. I brace myself for comments ......!

I love good abstracted macros, and this is a VERY good one! The texture reaches out to me, I don't have to even try to imagine what this feels like. One of my top 10 favorites of this week.
