Its hard to distinguish your bug from the background but there is definitely texture there! I would have cropped out the left side a little - it doesn't add anything but empty space tot he image. Good details in the center. Good luck in the challenge!
Nice DOF and texture. The bug is kind of camoflaged by the background, but since the challenge is texture and not bugs, you proved your point well. Good job.
i dont know why i cant rate this higher than average. it does meets the challenge, but i think its just that the subject of choice is quite creepy (i got something against creepy crawlies, sorry)
