I spent an entire day going through feathers and fur from my fly-tying materials. I took tons of shots, and this is the one I decided on. I like the contrast of the green and yellow, and the soft vs coarse nature of the materials. I cropped a little, removed a reddish cast, and bumped up the contrast a little.

The color is awesome. What is that behind the plant - is that hair? There are a few miscellaneous strands behind the "fire" that are distracting, but otherwise an interesting texture combo.
like the "golden" feathers but cant say the same for the stuff on the background. and the stray strands of what-are-those spoils the composition of an otherwise nice photo.
