This is nothing but a simple double exposure. You strobe your face and while the shutter remains open you grab this kid's battery operated led light toy, place it on your nose and put on the unit. Of course, after the strobes go off, you are in darkness until the shutter closes.

Congratulations on another very good finish. You sure have a way with these "trick" photos, they are so interesting to look at. I can never figure out how you did them until I read the explanation, and then it's like, "Duh!"
Awesome shot. Thanks for telling us how you did it. . .even tho I don't think I could ever pull it off. I think this was really a standout in the challenge.
Im glad I got the oppurtunity to view this photo tonight...im feeling very psychadelic right now...awesome special effect, and who does it better than graphicfunk. it fits the theme...great job. 8
Nice. A grownup interpretation of independence; flags may wave and golden eagles may soar, but the one real and lasting font of independence is from within ... self knowledge. This is a great visualisation of this eternal truth. 10
This is very cool GF. The attention is naturally moving to your right eye.
Your head is even so slightly turned towards your right, which makes this a little hard to make a completely symetric crop, if the camera was moved just slightly to the right (your left), your posture would be right on spot, and I believe it might have an even stronger impact that way... But you might have wanted it just like this.
Very creative and unique. It's a pleasure to see something different. Thanks for taking the chance. Intriguing...how'd you do it? Nice lighting, including special effects. SHARP. 10
Glad to see somebody else around here has a spiritual take on the challenges! I only wish you had darkened the background to make it all the way black.
Thought provoking image, can we really do this? I mean separation of mind and body...wonder if you did this behind a glass, reflection, looking forward to next monday GF?
WOW! This is amazing. The shadow on the body and the dark background really makes the figure pop. And you were able to accomplish this with basic editing?? Man, that is some piece of work!! How in the heck did you do that?
