Very sharp on his eye! I wish the background didn't compete so much with his feather markings. Great contrasting textures!

interesting textures and nice use of b/w...the head/beak area is quite hard to distinguish from the background...maybe less dopth of field would be useful here

maybe if the photo was in color there would more contrast between the bird and the stones

He's almost camouflaged in the rocky beach. I'd offset the bird for a bit more effect. I think I might like this shot in color. Hope this is helpful. 6
