This picture certainly shows the mirage qualities of the heat rising from the road. It looks like a long lonely road for this trucker! I am not sure that the trees framing this shot give enough tonality to enhance the picture.
Well done expression of the theme, with no identifying corporate marks it's easy to regard this guy as an independent operator, driving secondary roads to avoid getting weighed, etc.
i like the shot, but don't necessarily think b&w is right for it. all of the trees, grass, and flowers just blend together as they're all about the same tone. and the blown out sky doesn't help a lot. the truck looks nice in b&w though.
I like this alot. I'd crop out part of the area on the left as it's dark and doesn't add to the photograph. The lightness of the foreground flowers is a nice touch. The leading line of the road is good - I wish it were longer.
