Great idea, needs to be a bit brighter, it looks a bit flat, try upping the brightness and increasing the contrast, or maybe adjust the curves if you have photoshop. A closer crop might have helped too.

This just is sort of ho hum to me. Maybe if the background were dark, it might pop out more. I'm not sure.

The idea is good, but DOF is too limited, and the main subject is under exposed so there is not enough detail in it.
