I was taking a tour of the Tall Ships in Tacoma when I saw this interesting shape made with the ropes. I used the Channel Mixer to get a good black and white and then used the Hue/Saturation for a light sepia color. It is cropped a little bit from the original.

For this contest everyone who has the word “circle” in their title is getting a lower score. This is a copy and paste version that I am including in every photo that I downgrade due to the title. We as members of DPchallenge know the topic of the challenge – we do not need to reread the topic every time we reach a photo. If circle is in the title and it is appropriate I will most likely not down grade, but it better be good. I am sorry if you do not agree with my method of protest – but scores are all I have.
nice shape though query circular. tones are dull and washed out for me: enrichening tones with colour adjustment, plus more contrast, darker image, might have worked (though would take some playing with PS).
I like the subject, but I'm thinking it would have had greater impact if the angle was a little different to create better symmetry between the upper and lower loops.
