The lighting/shadow looks a little harsh to me. Maybe if you tried a more diffused light source? Not sure if that would be better. Just a suggestion.

Not an exeptionally interesting subject. A more interesting crop may have helped. The spotted highlights on the shell are also very distracting, some nondirect lighting would eliminate this and the flash line behind it.

The inside of the shell is rather neat. Shows depth. Picture as a whole seems a little over-sharpened with a lot of noise in the background.
