perhaps an old inkwell or quill pen would have enhandes this composition. as it is, it is a documentary shot of 2 old checks on a desk. No story, no emotion.
Good subject for the challenge, but as a photo, It could use some work. The lighting really flattens thses checks out. Consider side light to provide more texture.
if this were photographic scavanger hunt, you would win, these are VERY cool. But from a photographic standpoint they are simply 2d objects, and a hard thing to photograph in interesting ways. maybe a softer yellow light with an antique wood background - hope that helps you see why I scored this low
