Buddy of mine has a friend with a couple HotRods. This is a 1931 Ford Vicky. I've wanted the opportunity to do a car shoot, and this seemed like the perfect match.

This is a marvelous image in which this vehicle is both glorified and put into its nostalgic rural/suburban context. The colors here work with each other well, and the lighting is calm and soothing, just like our memories of the days in which these cars were running (if you don't count the Depression!). Your point of view is low, which adds a sense of excitement and drama. It is also splotched with shadows, which I love because they serve to add interest and make the whole scene more "natural," even though we know that the car is "posing." Your point of view also emphasizes the 3-D of the car.
The red is the most saturated color--it might be nice to try some more saturated greens, however, the red really sticks out nicely the way it is. The tones are very pleasant here and really make the photo easy to look at. The border is well used here. It does not attract attention to itself, but it does serve to guide our senses to the car and set your photo off from the bland gray of the site.

THis looks like a shot from HOT ROD magazine minus a little professional touchup. The subject against the trees provides a nice contrast. If it were a little less shadowy it would be a little better. Nice car and nice pic
Nice car photo. You did a great job finding the right back and foreground. It makes the car stand out and hold your attention. Nice color saturation and focus is clear and sharp.
I love the composition of this one. I am seeing so many shots with the subject either dead (no pun intended) center, or cropped off in the weirdest way. This is perfect.
Nice car, nice colors, nice picture. Personally, would have preferred a bit more dof on the trees since the 'red' is so strong and doesn't want anything more to compete for attention. 8 Journey
The red and green contrast nicely. While I like dappled light - I wish the light here was more bold - like the car. A deep green shady background and full sunlight on the car.
Fantastic car, and nice picture with a border that really does do it justice. Do think that the amount of green in the picture does seem to give the care a greenish tinge in certain places.
Beautiful colors and good use of shadows. Good focus and sharp details! Very nice and vintage. Too bad there's no sense of motion... that would have made this excellent!
