Nice idea, but everything is bullsy eyed - the horizon and the lighthouse. I would suggest placing the lighthouse on the left of the frame - in the 'dark' - away from the light the sun is casting. A few steps to the left (assuming you could move left) would of greatly improved the composition of this photo. Also, crop some off the bottom so the horizon is not so centered.
Lovely photograph, although some of it could have been cropped safely.
The lighthouse looks wonderful in silhouette, and the dancing light on the ocean surface creates a warm mood and feel of mid year and good times.
Keep up the good work.
Some pics are benefitted by the subject being in the center, in this case i think it would have been more beneficial if your lighthouse had not been dead middle of this otherwise lovly image. nice capture of light
Great idea. However, it probably would be better if the subject was to the right or left giving the ocean more view. This would really emphasize the solitude of this old lighthouse. Always remeber the rules of thirds for better composition. This gets a 7 from me for concept and idea.
This is my favorite in the challenge. In fact. . . I'm making this one of my "favorites" This is so "my kind of picture". I love the misty look. I love the colors. I love lighthouses. I love that it's sunset. It's just a beautiful picture. 10
