I have to thank my flatmate for leaving me to walk her dog this weekend - otherwise I would never have seen the big pile of leaves just down the road from here. It wasn't until walked past them the second time that I clicked to how these fit so well into the challenge. 'Something that has outlived it's usefulness' - and here's something that gets discarded by Mother Nature every Autumn. What could be better?

Processing:

. Converted to 16 bit TIFF file using RawEssentials - with tweaking of the exposure, shadow/highligh contrast and hue & sat, the final image looks a lot different from where it started.
. Crop, Scale, USM & save to 8 bit jpeg using Photoshop

excellent - how's that for helpful feedback? I wouldn't change a thing, and it's one of the few that I haven't shot that I would love on my wall. 10
