5 1.44" Floppy Disks arranged. Lit by a single overhead fluorescent bulb. WB set to tungsten for the blue effect. Border and very slight contrast adjustment in PS-CS2.

Not that my opinion stands for any sort of objective rule, but I thought this was a fine submission for you first challenge. I put this photo on the upper end the challenge ratings. It is not without flaws (mentioned below) but it looked like a perfect photo for a tech' magazine article. The color was a good choice, the barrel distortion works well, and floppies are very quickly becoming obsolete. Don't let these results discourage you.
i love that you didnt just shot a floppy but arranged them in this interesting fasion...the lighting doesnt really do it for me and the focus could have been a bit better
why are these obsolete? I still see them in use. That's why i didn't enter the contest I just don't get the whole "obsolete", I think if the photo was sepia or b/w it would make it better. That's just my opinion though. I do like the crop
The glare is a bit much. The focus seems off. This media is most certainly in use and is not obsolete. Yet I stand to be convinced prior to vote ending!
