oops - missed ya!
I gave you a 6. I wasn't sure if it was steam or glare that gave the hazy look above the engine - so i gave you the benifit of the doubt. It does however take from the image as a whole. I like the angle, and i think it was a good idea to desat the train. The crop is a little too tight at the top of the picture,i would have liked to see a bit more up top.
Nice subject and good composition. The lighting looks off - the sky looks unnaturally grey. You might try lightening and increasing the contrast. It also might benefit from a duotone treatment. Overall - nice shot. BOL
my goal is to comment on every photo in this challenge..heres urs..good luck. great colors here but looks to be a smudge on the lens. the 2 looks bmurred a bit
I love train pictures! I love the close-up, close crop of this one with the misty background from the smoke. I really like this picture. In fact, I think it's my favorite of the challenge.
Oh no! when i saw this photo loaded, i was like, OMG a beautiful train shot! but there is a flaw which i'm forced to reduced a point - your resizing of the image. Your resizing has has made the lines of this photo very jagged. This is especially clear on the left-portion of this photo (see the door?) The blur is a nice touch though, but the grey sky is another point reducer. a higher brightness/contrast would help improve this.
