We were climbing a hill outside Alice Springs to get a view of the city. A storm was coming fast with frequent lightning flashes. The flashes were so frequent I took a chance and took a couple of photos with a 1 second exposure. I got lucky.
What a shot! I love lightning bolts. I think the softness/motion blur on the trees (due to a longer exposure to catch the bolt?) nicely contrasts the crisp sharpness of the lightning, making it stand out. The only thing I would pick on would be that very small orange glow to the left, it's a little distracting.
