Oh, my...this is wonderful! I like the perspective--it makes him look more regal.

I think you could have won if you would have used a tripod. If you did use a tripod, did you zoom in and crop with photoshop?

Menacing pose. Good composition. A little more sharpness would have been better. A good 8.

this is quite good. the pose you caught him in is terrific! I'd like to see more focus on his eyes, but this is a capture you should be proud of.

how authoritarian! good detail on the eagle itself.

I love eagle shots. This is much better than my eagle entry a few weeks ago. Very nicely done. The lighting is just right. You're getting a little of the white softness under the chin, but much less noticable than my shot. Bit o glare on the beak, but I'm not quibbling over that either. I have to give this a 10. this is an excellent pose... the sharpness could possibly be a little stronger, but the composition is excellent :) - setzler

The lighting on his head is a bit bright, but not much you can do about that. Great capture and 'pose' - and fairly nice camera too. 9

Absolutely perfect shot! (And much better than the end result of my attempt at the same species earlier this week...) Color, tone, composition, and emotion captured in this shot are amazing. --10

What an expression. Good capture, but seems a little under-sharp, or over-worked to compensate for being under-sharp, or too contrasty: something like that. Lacks texture

I wish I had the camera equipment to get shots like this..I have to crawl up things and get right in there face..lol...very nice shot...
