CC Fantastic macro. Good lighting and colour choice, though it feels upside down to me. Have you tried looking at it rotated 180 degrees ? I also wonder if a more slanted composition would be a bit more dynamic. Perhaps with the ends of the stamen slightly more inside the picture frame, as they seem a bit cramped at the edges.
Interesting study. The composition seems off though. The stamens drag my eye down to the bottom, but there's nothing there that really feels like a strong focal point.
Interesting take. Most show the entire blossom. One of the things I like is that the lines of the stamen and pistols bring you into the flower. Good job.
The title does nothing for me here, but this extreme macro is lovely, providing us a close up while still emphasizing the mystery of beauty this flower communicates. Nice focus throughout.
This is an exceptional picture. I love the details and the composition. The lighting couldn't be better. Great title, too, but I don't know if the 'tongue' catches my eye as much as the center on outward. Stunning 10.
There is only one thing that I feel could make this stronger, and that would be a bit of more space below the white 'tongue'. Perhaps just 20 pixels or so. Great shot! 9 -danny
