Excellent sky. Think the bird was moving a little to fast for this shot - its going out of the frame and out of focus. We should tie little weights to his legs to slow him down! If you shot birds (with a camera) again, I would recommend a higher ISO or manually setting the camera a little faster. This will stop the action a little better. Problem I know is that 9 times out of 10 these things happen upon us when we aren't prepared in advance. Good luck in the challenge!
I don't care for the soft focus on the bird; I would have preferred to see the bird sharply in focus, to contrast with the fuzzy clouds. The bird's proximity to the edge of the frame leads my eyes out of the picture in the bird's direction of movement.
