Camera: Canon PowerShot G3
Location: Lindo Lake, Lakeside, CA
Date: Apr 19, 2003
Aperture: 8.0
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1/500

Date Uploaded: Apr 20, 2003

Shot with a 2x telephoto added to the camera's 14x combined optical and digital zoom.

The regulars at this lake told me that this swan's mate disappeared about a year ago and they feel very sad when they see him because he always seems so lonely now.

Nice lighiting and stop action. The little bit of red in the reflection is particularly effective. Good job!

Clever title! Reflection and foreground colors are very nice; head area seems a bit overexposed, though.

i love the reflection of the beak in the water, and the ripples. nice shot. only 'complaint' would be the focus on the head seems a little soft.
