First off their is alot going on which I think is a good thing. Alot of the photos entered in the challenge were static and seemed caged. I think it was a good idea to enter this with all of its action. Their is not much detail in the acutal birds but this is outset by the action.
Nice tones...but does seem a bit on the dark side but then the water capture might not be as nice. So I think you struck a nice compromise. The rocks have nice textures and framed in the lower right so does not draw your eye.
I think what over all hurt his image during the challenge was the lack of detail. Which is sad because their were few other action shots and fewer with multiple birds. I feel you should have scored higher and way to go for doing something different.
