This large bird was so curious about what I was doing that he'd come right up to me and peak on the lens. Auto levels, color and contract. Unmask. No other editing.

the mouth reminds me of something out of jurassic park. very cool. the eyes are very soft...perhaps this was your intention. it definitely got my attention for a few moments-6
If the focus plane would extend all the way back to the eyes this would be a perfect picture. I know how difficult that can be with a beak pointing towards you, but the eyes are just so critical in this sort of things.

I went to high school with a guy who looked a lot like this. On a technical note, the DOF is a little shallow for my tastes; I'd prefer to see his eyes in sharp focus as well.
Ha haaa, this one makes me smile. Nice detail in the beak and eye but DOF may be just a touch too shallow as I'd also like detail in the fur on the head and neck.
