Wow. A little too close for my taste. Birds like this (or anything for that matter) with such strong blacks and whites are very difficult to expose properly. you did a pretty good job keeping much of the detail - I applaud you for that. 7 - good luck in the challenge!

the eye is lost in the midst of the head. Using fill flash would reallt have injected a bit of life into it 5
