I see a compostional flaw or what have you it looks as if thow the dog has someting in his mouth but its the rock in the background. there are so many ways you could have cropped this. I would try keeping the dogs reflection and cropping out all but the splash that arches and his feet. could be a stonger compostion but thats me. more important than that I would have cropped out the top section as it adds little to your compositon.
Not sure I understand the title but this is a very nice piece of photography - trhe reflection has been caught superbly, and I like the small trail of droplets from its foot.
The colors come out very well here, the reflection in the water has an interesting effect with the small ripples. Nearly the whole image is in focus. Well done.
