Shot in my bathroom. Knife suspended from a string. "Murderer" created from some stuffed clothes. I'm the soon-to-be victim.
Post processing included sizing and resampling to 640x480 and then cropping a little smaller before resizing and resampling back to 640x480 to emphasize the noise and create some "grain". Converted to B&W, adjusted levels, and used the straight sharpen filter to both sharpen and again emphasize grain.
If you have to ask why I wanted the grain, then you probably didn't get the picture at all. *grin*

Great picture it really messes with my head I like how the lady in the shower slowly appears and is not noticed right away The knife for some reason looks strange to me like it should be a tad over towards the middle but who am I to say I like it alot
I am 1 of 3 people who gave this shot a "10." And I stand behind my vote and I'm glad I'm not with the majority "4" voters! Your shot was different, clever and absolutely fit into the category perfectly; there were TWO people in the shot, for pity's sake! Nice job!
Nice shot and subject, however for the people challenge not so nice. This shot would of ruled in the BW challenge. You dont get a clear view of a person in this shot.
Wow, very dramatic. I didn't even notice this one as a thumbnail, it just surprised me :). Looks like you used some heavy despeckle to get rid of the graininess... I don't mind that look though. It's neat how the longer I look at it, the more I notice the outlines of the person behind the shower curtain. Perhaps a bit of backlighting in there would have helped make it a bit less subtle though. Or more contrast?
This is one of those one's I don't really "like" but is well done -- very creepy. Maybe the only thing I'd try to do is avoid the bright hightlights on the curtain, leaving the blade as the only element with a pure white.
i like this shot. i think it would be better if you could see more of the sillhouette of the person in the shower, though. as it is i didn't even realize someone was in there until i looked at this shot a few times. i think it would break up the negative space that is the shower curtain and add more suspense to the shot. great concept, though, and the b&w is a good touch.
I think I would have liked this more if you could see the image of the woman a little clearer through the curtain...not crystal clear but just slightly more. I like the angle and the grainy effect and I've had to come back and up my vote for this a little after studying it...nice job
Hehehe, not quite what I expected for this challenge (cute babies, and smiling old folks)! I almost missed the person behind the shower curtain, would there have been a way to increase the contrast? Also, the whole picture is somewhat grainy and more shades of gray than b&w. Still, interesting take on things and nice composition.
Odd angle, great idea. The inclusion of the pants was a good idea, but not well pulled off. Maybe less pants, or more aperture to include the pants in the focus?
This is an interesting shot. I see the "person", but barely. The knife shows up O.K., but I would think A more shiny knife or more light on the knife would have worked better. If you had an opening in the shower curtain or a more transparent curtain, this might have worked better. The victim is too understated. Photo 8 Creativity 9 People 5 total 6 (sorry, but as people was the challenge, I had to weight it more heavily.)
O my gosh....this is so good. Your don't know how that is my nightmare- mine and millions of others too. What a good job. The b&w is perfect for this shot. Well done. Spooky _people_.
very interesting...I just wish you could see the you could see the subjest in the shower a little clearer. Not that I'm a perv. I just had to stare at the photo to see if someone was actually in there.
fucking beautiful. some steam from the shower would be nice. i can understand why it might be hard to get a silhouette of a lady in there on the curtain.. i dont like to bring lamps into running showers with me, either.
