Challenge:Flora (Classic Editing) Camera:Sony DSC-F717 Location: A Pink and White Dogwood near my son's School. Date: Apr 17, 2003 Aperture: F 4 ISO: 100 Shutter: 1/160 Date Uploaded: Apr 17, 2003
A Dogwood tree I found that must have been grafted as it has both pink and white flowers. These two were the best two I could find that were close enough to each other to photograph.

Fits The Challenge-Yes
Composition-Fair
Background-Good
My Opinion-I like the combination of these two. Very nice. Good color, light. I think the shot is good but it's hard not to see the fact that the flowers are rusted/old. They will turn brown from age, rain or even touching them. I know it's not your fault. This is not a bad shot and I don't mean to infer that at all it's an attractive photo.
Pretty flowers, though it looks like they are in decline, poor things. nice composition and pastel colors. More interesting light would really enhance these blossoms.
pink and white together are nice, and the context of the branches in the background. the diagonal of the composition is nice. However wish the blooms could stand out more - the background recede. Maybe you don't need to include all the edges of the petals zoom in more and put the branches out of focus.
