I drew a complete blank when this challenge topic came up. I then thought about decisions in my life. One of the hardest things for me is to eat right. I often (way too often) seem to opt for the easy way out and sugar has lots to do with it. I am a sugar bug.
Purchased the muffin from Tim Hortons and mixed a batch of frosting and coloured it all by myself. That's why the swirls look so crappy. I think I would have made a lousy, large but lousy pastry chef.
This will probably bomb, but this is my first challenge entry since March 2005, so I couldn't care less. I'm getting into the photography groove again.

fits the topic well, colorful with good crisp focus on the cupcake; leaving the apple so far out of focus makes me think you have made your decision, lol
This was one of the highest scores I gave, it fits the competition (at least to me) and it is well composed - I like the focus on the one that most of us would eat first. For some reason though, the colors seem to really clash. I wonder if a different table top would make it work, or if the blue icing is just painful to me in any context. Maybe a white or black tabletop?
I don't feel that the image conveys instantly recognizable decision. The title helps, however because of the focus, it seems you've already decided for us. The cupcake looks delicious, and that fuzzy red blotch (which looks like an apple) doesn't seem so appealing (no pun intended). Nice pic.
Oh this is great. I love how the cupcake is all sharp, colorful and beautiful right before your eyes, and the apple is dull and blurry in the background. That's about the size of the decision I'd probably make :)
