It looks like it was a hard picture to focus well. If you have a lock focus on your camera, I would have tried three different shots with three different focus points to see which one comes out the best.

I don't feel that the image conveys instantly recognizable decision. The title helps me understand what you were thinking. Good show.

The idea is good and fits the challenge The shallow DOF and oversaturated colors makes the food look garish instead of appetizing. The background also detracts from the shot.
