thank you for the great comments and votes. this came out as I wanted.. I had to wait for 15-20 mins before a butterfly sat on this particular flower, but I think it was worth that wait :)
lovely bokeh! i was thinking about getting this lens so now i really think i should since it can make wonderful photos like this with a photographer as capable as yourself :-)
There are people who spend their entire lives shooting butterflies and never get an image as amazing as this. If you ever meet one of them, show a little compassion and hide this photo. 10

Composition: 10 The dof really puts the shot into better perspective and making the focus all the much better.
Creativity: 10 Not much creativity but what do you really have to create when its this beautiful.
Technical: 10 The colors are just so vivid. Very well done.

Good color and clarity!! I think it would be stunning with an even slightly closer shot of the butterfly. But I'm very glad you left some green at the top as it offsets the flower and insect very well. Good composition.
My immediate reaction - ooh yes! A lovely capture, but if I was to try and improve on this I would have preferred the sharp focus on the wings as opposed to the flower but this is still a very appealing study - well done
This image kicks significant arse. Beautifully composed and colours manificient. The slightly soft wing doesn't bother me, seems to add to the depth. Well done.
Ah, properly competent photography - I have no doubt this has become exactly what you wanted. Love the tonality, the bokeh, composition, etc. etc. I would wish only for something a little more thought-provoking than a butterfly on a flower, to make it 'beautiful' rather than simply 'pretty', if you like. But this must surely score well.
Easily the best butterfly/flower shot in the challenge IMO. However it´s not very original and frankly I find it a bit boring but I love the saturation, bokeh, sharpness and contrast in this shot, technically it´s very well done. I gave it an 8.
This is a stunning shot! I wish we had so colorful butterflies in my country;-) It is crystal clear where it should and out of focus where it should. Well done!
