mmmm. Love the color and tones....very rich and dark. The lighting is low key and moody. Very nice image....hard to desypher at first.

I've looked hard to understand this photo and -- i give up. Nevertheless, it is among the best of the challenge because of it's technical excellence and because it is so visually atunning. Among my top picks.

I like this shot but I do not know of the main subject of the shot is granular in nature, but that could simply be my definition of the challenge.

nice lighting but the composition doesn't work for me, it's too centered, you dont need all that black on the bottom.

very dramatic and beautiful. such wonderful colours. the blue smoke in the back trails off in the upper right corner a little weird, wouldve liked to see the smoke go all the way up. but forget all that, this is a great photo and i hope it finished in the top 3 or at least top 10
