Nice idea, composition works well, centred along one axis but with the focal point on the horizontal lower third.

As an artist this shots enough to give me the chills. Very crip image with lots of brilliant details on the wood grain. The use of graphite is definately an original concept for this challenge and fits it very well. I feel that your choice to use B&W was a good one it adds alot more impact to the image and draws the viewer to the grains. I feel thet the colors would have been to distracting. Very nice job 8

Neat shot... I would like to try something like this with colored pencil(s), but the B&W is very dramatic. Nice work.

Very very well done picture. The tip of the pencil and the grains flying out in a circular pattern have made a very visually arresting picture. I really like the fact that you chose not to do a standard rule of thirds placement with this one. Good job !
