hope you won't mind to get a negative comment... I think your picture is great for the colors, composition and "frozen" moment, but I don't like the model's position. Her eyes and hands are somewhat unnatural, they give me the sensation that she has never done this kind of job before... she has't a "working" attitude, it feels she is only posing, and this detracts a lot of appeal to the picture, IMHO

Wow Gurrý, the blue ribbon!!! Congratulations! I am so happy that you got it and well deserved. Thank your daughter from us that she although maybe not patient accepted to do this, she really made a huge impact on this photo. So now I can say that I have gone on phototour with a blue ribbon lady in Amman... ah I am sure getting famous for it;-)

I have been holding my breath all week, and turned "Blue" :) I'm so thrilled with the response and to win a ribbon, it's great! Thank you all for some wonderful comments. My daughter was my model and she was getting tired after the 3rd session and absolutely refused to do the 4th after I realized that my best shot cut the top of her head off. Even the grains were thrown all over the place, we managed to save some and cook a delicious meal with well cleaned wheat.
This image just feels like Librado to me. Not that thats a bad thing. Great lighting, wonderfull skin tones and an interesting model. Very realistic and cultural photo. The capture on the wheat is dead on. Very very nicely done.
Excellent photo in every way. May be a hair over sharp but it doesn't really detract. Nicely saturated colors. Pretty girl. Set-up is a bit forced but it's still among my top picks.
This an outstanding pic. It has action, sharpness, vibrant colors, and I like the look on the girls face that shows she is paying attention to the task at hand. IMHO, this will take the blue ribbon.
That's odd, I don't see anything fishy... Anyways, I like this shot for the simple background with interesting subject matter. It's really well framed and caught at the perfect moment. All the colour tones involved complement eachother. I'm not sure the girl was great for the shot; she seems so modern despite her ethnic dress.
This is such a gorgeous image and an excellent action capture! I think the only thing that would improve it is if she were sitting on the other side facing the light, but you probably didn't have much control over that. :-) Very beautiful shot.
I love this image and made it my choice for a ribbon. The only thing that could make it better, in my opinion, would be not to crop the top of her head.
Exceptional detail on this one. The light is hightlighting the wheat, and the bowl it comes from is also lit well. I think this is the best I've seen so far.
I like this very much. Nice colors, nice composition and you froze the action perfectly. I would have loved to see the bowl be more organic, like wood or stone but that's of course no big deal.
Beautiful, from the background to the colors of the dress to the model herself. The expression is nice, and the motion of the wheat draws the eye. The lighting is flawless. The image evokes a sense of wonder at an archaic technique, even if the metallic winnowing basket makes me think the shot was staged.
Great photo, easily the best so far, bright colours, stop action, good composition, crisp focus, full of interest, neutral background, yup, I like it, well done!
