i contrasted the color a bit, but no other editing. all the shots made me hungry.

Certainly a granular subject, but the photograph does not convey this a dominat aspect.

if the focus had been on the front tip of the chip, instead of just behind it, this would have been a strong image.

heh, funny idea, perhaps a crop of the top right corners would have helped. also a green color cast instead of a blue.

I wish this photo was a little more in focus and a little bit closer in to the dorito. Then I think it would hold my interest more. Right now I can't see much of the texture.

Color and concept good, focus not so hot. The chip looks delicious, maybe add some extra dorito flakes around it for extra granulation effect?

That looks terrible! To eat that is.
Odd mix of possitioning, DOF, lighting, background/serface and colour? Then its an odd looking mix of a chip!
