i took a lighter next to the bible verse, and burned my thumb, so i hope it does well. I adusted the contrast slightly, but no other editing. there were others that were better focused on the word light, but i liked the contrast of this one.

The sentiment is debatable and four-fifths of the world would disagree with it. The lighting on the photograph doesn't work for me either. The focus is iffy and camera shake is evident particularly on the bottom part of the image. Ignoring the sentiment, this is a 4. I'm counting the sentiment and reckon it's a 3.
nice passage. lighting good, just maybe take the source out of the picture, would add smoothness, even flow, maybe a center lighting, darkening around.
I like this. The only thing that makes it look staged is that the base of the candle should be toward the reader. Most people don't light ub their Bible this way. 7
